Ministry of Industry Pioneers the Sea-based Development Program

In December 2023, Mohammad Mahdi Salari announced a series of working sessions across ten themes to draft Iran's sea-based development program.

He identified financing as one of the most critical bottlenecks for maritime businesses. Shipbuilding, fisheries, marine tourism, port services, offshore oil and gas, and technology were among the program's pillars.
